Fair Pay for Uber Eats Delivery Workers

Uber Eats delivery workers deserve fair and dignified pay.

We are hardworking people providing an essential service, yet Uber is increasingly offering as little as $1–$2 per delivery, sometimes even less. This is not a fair wage. We cannot depend on customers’ tips to survive.

A worker should not have to complete 20 or more deliveries just to make $100 a day, especially while paying for gas, vehicle maintenance, insurance, and other expenses. We have families, homes, and responsibilities too.

We are asking Uber, lawmakers, elected officials, and the public to recognize this injustice and demand fair minimum pay for every delivery, independent of tips.

We supported Uber when it first came to our communities. Now we are asking Uber to support the workers who keep its platform running.

We are not asking for charity. We are asking for fair pay, dignity, and respect.

Why is this important?

This issue affects thousands of Uber Eats delivery workers who are working hard every day but still struggling to make a decent living. When a delivery pays only $1 or $2, it becomes nearly impossible to cover gas, vehicle expenses, bills, and family needs.

We should not have to depend on tips to make a living. Tips should be extra—not the difference between being able to pay our bills or going hungry.

If we stay silent, nothing will change. If delivery workers, customers, community members, and leaders come together, we can demand fair pay and a system that respects the people who keep Uber Eats running.

This is not just about Uber Eats. It is about dignity, fairness, and the right to earn a living from honest work.
