Open our closed registers

Up until the time covid-19 hit the scene, the Walmart I work for, at 8 big cash registers in operation along with 2 speedy checkouts, (20 items or less lanes, and 4 self checkouts.
After covid-19 hit, we took three big cash registers out of operation, along with one speedy checkout. This was done to comply with the 6ft social distancing rule.
Before covid-19, are Walmart was known we're getting customers in and out quickly it was not much if any waiting in line to check out. We would have customers from 30 to 60 miles away, drive to our Walmart, just for the reason of having a speedy checkout after their shopping.
With that in mind, these customers had a Walmart in the town where they live.
So, now we've lost that reputation, and have gained we reputation for not being able to get out of the store, now due to no open registers.
All Walmart would have to do, is move the closed register further out to be able to comply with the 6ft rule.

Why is this important?

First and foremost, Walmart with game it's happy customers back, and lose they griping and complaining coming from the customers now.
Secondly, it would allow our Walmart cashiers, the time that they need to do their other responsibilities, that come with the job.
And in third place.... It would keep management from holding the cashier accountable for not doing the included jobs that they cannot do due to the time constantly ringing up and bagging items for the customer, from the beginning of their shift straight up till the end of their shift.
this one change would make everything else fall right back into place.
Happy customer, happy employees, happy managers.
