END POVERTY WAGES ON OUR CAMPUS! RAISE YOUR VOICE & FIGHT 4/15!

The base salary of the University of Illinois President Killeen is $600,000! That's more than the President of the United States! Meanwhile student workers wages start off at a poverty rate of $8.25. Currently there is a proposed budget cut of 31% on higher education, yet we see our administration’s frivolous and discriminatory spending of our tuition dollars by raising their salaries but not ours!
This year we also saw the administration approve a $98,000 exit bonus for UIC Chancellor Paula Allen-Meares!
We demand an end to frivolous spending of our tuition dollars, and a living wage of 15 dollars for all workers on campus!
On April 15th we will deliver our demands and join thousands of Chicagoans on UIC campus with a rally and march to demand $15 for all!
YES! I will raise my voice and fight 4/15 at 3pm at the inner circle and I will join in the action to deliver our demands!

Why is this important?

UIC students are struggling to pay our loans and find good paying jobs after graduating. Students are often faced with jobs paying minimum wage at our university and in the general labor market. We need to insure that students have access to good jobs and living wages in and out of school.
