Bring back raises

When minimum wage went up to $10.40 an hour in NY, all employees went up to that rate, however as it was higher than what they were making with their yearly raise, they lost their raises and just have minimum wage.

Why is this important?

$10 an hour is hardly anything in this economy, especially for part-time employees trying to support their families.

Teens working at McDonald's start off around $15.

Reasons for signing

  • I'm a single mom of 3 and a full time manager and I struggle on the week to week base I work more hrs to try nd make more bit that only means paying more for a sitter nd seeing my kids less
  • I used to work for DG. I was barely making ends meet on a Store Manager’s pay. I know if it was hard for me on a salary to make ends meet, it has to be especially hard for the associates. As hard as DG associates and Store Managers work, they should definitely be given raises. I routinely submitted raises every 6 months for my team members, just to let them know I appreciated their hard work. Even if the company didn’t.
  • I agree that companies make mega profits by controlling labor
