Victoria University: Give us our contracts on time!
VU--Please make sure that all sessional and casual staff receive their contracts on time. Sessional and casual staff want to focus on their work; they shouldn't be worrying about missing contracts.
Why is this important?
Would you work without a contract? Likely not.
However, many sessional and casual staff at VU are being forced into working without a contract.
As a consequence, they can have trouble accessing the staff facilities and services required to do their jobs. They can also be paid late, which creates a great amount of stress.
Sessional and casual staff deliver the bulk of the undergraduate teaching and carry a heavy workload. They simply want to receive their contracts on time so that they can focus on what they are good at which is delivering a world class education to VU students.

*On Thursday 20 August join us at VU, outside building M at 12.30pm for a free BBQ and a demonstration to tell the VC to give sessionals their contracts on time. Visit supercasuals.org.au for more info.
