The Pavilion at Glacier Valley Workers Demand Fair COVID-19 Pay!

We, the workers at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger, WI, demand that our employer pay equitable premium pay during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While we are thankful that our employer recognizes our hard work and dedication during an uncertain time, all of us are facing the same challenges right now. A CNA comes into contact with residents no less than an RN; a cook would be just as impacted by their partner getting laid off as an LPN would. We shouldn't be arbitrarily divided by job classification. All of us come into work every day to provide the best possible care for our residents, while also working to keep ourselves and our families healthy and safe.

This is a nerve-wracking time to work in long-term care, and many of us face difficulties outside of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well. We all face similar challenges, and we all deserve equitable pandemic premium pay of $1.00 per hour. We are committed to our jobs and taking care of our residents during this pandemic, and we ask that our employer take care of us and recognize the risks we take every day.
