• Fire Activision CEO Bobby Kotick for pocketing millions while laying off 800 workers
The 800 workers who helped with community management, marketing games, running eSports, legal, and so much more are all far more valuable than the CEO. When making the decision to cut someone from Activision we'd choose to #FireBobbyKotick every time. Bobby Kotick has been raking in $30 million dollars a year as Activision CEO, that massive income doesn't come from nowhere. It comes from the labor of his employees. Kotick's wealth is built from the stolen wages of his workers. [1] Activision, under Kotick's leadership, gave a $15 million dollar bonus to the CFO *just for changing his job title* then they have the gall to turn around and lay off 800 workers just days later? [2] It's disgusting to hear Kotick boasting about record revenue for the company then announcing an 8% staffing cut in the next breath. Kotick was especially proud to announce the 9% bump to stockholder values. That 9% comes from our labor. [3] Please sign this petition in solidarity and send a message to Activision Blizzard's c-suite that we won't let their greed ruin the games we love and uproot the lives of workers anymore! • Modern Self Expression
Times are changing and I believe Publix is far behind in certain terms. Revising the dresscode won't change the satisfaction of your customers, nor should it affect the quality of your business and products, with that in mind I think you should be taking another look at your dress code. Like I said before, in these modern times this type of self expression is VERY important to some people. There's no point anymore in drawing out the past, and conforming people to this poorly out-dated dress code. When someone refuses to change their hair/etc. for Publix you're thinking they must not want to work there badly, but the message you're truly sending is that unless you give up your individuality you cannot work for our company. If someone decides they want to do something different for themselves they should be able to with out fear of losing their jobs.

  • #ThePriceOfRetail for workers during the holidays
For an industry that brings in $250 billion dollars in profits in NYS/NYC each year, there is plenty to go around and the successes of the industry should translate to greater flexibility and share of the profits by the workers. With your support, we can bring these issues to our city and state lawmakers and show employers that their consumer base wants them to do the right thing by their workers.

  • YGC - Working from Home
Enacting the ability for members to work from home for a consistent [up to] two days per week would: -Increase employee work/life balance -Allow for more flexibility for members with health complications that aren't optimal for the office but are manageable at home while working, personal/family issues like parents' conflicting work schedules, etc. -Boost employee morale (because they wouldn't have to spend hours in traffic every day, employee transportation expenses would lessen, employees would save time, money, and stress levels, etc.) -Significant boost in productivity due to lack of stressful commute, immediate accessibility to work via laptop, better concentration for those with a home office, and all of which helps workers perform a full (or more) work day as proven by many studies such as "A 2-Year Stanford Study Shows the Astonishing Productivity Boost of Working From Home" reported by INC. on April 2, 2018 Our fellow Yamaha teams are already exercising this option (i.e. HR, Marine, Watercraft, etc.). Let's get our YGC team to start enjoying the same productivity benefits that working from home has proven for others?

  • Cap the number of Uber/Lyft/Rideshare drivers based on the population of each city
This promotes: 1. A sustainable wage for independent contractors working for ride-share companies. 2. Fewer C20 emissions in each city due to an extreme and unnecessary number of drivers in cities worldwide. 3. The integrity and respect of the drivers who do the majority of work for billion dollar companies. Overall, we all love our Rideshare companies. I, myself, have been both a driver and a passenger of Uber in particular. However, the work of these companies is not done, and this petition could help Rideshare companies prove that they not only care about their passengers well being, but the drivers well being as well, who help make their companies just what it is--awesome.

  • We need Scan guns at Publix
It would make our jobs a lot easier. There are a lot of heavy items such as 60 lb bag of peanuts, dog food, cases of water, kitty litter. That is very heavy to lift over the registers. Not only that, our customers would benefit as well, because they wouldn't have to lift the items.I mean come on even small gas stations have them.

  • Reduce idle time, eliminate surge pricing!
    · These measures are extremely important to reduce idle time and to distribute available cars more evenly across served area and throughout 24-hour periods, and to compensate drivers more fairly--in particular those who drive the graveyard shift putting their lives in danger and sacrificing important family time. · These measures will increase Uber's total billings and profit margins, increase drivers' net take, and dramatically reduce riders' waiting time. · I have asked many riders how they would feel about higher-than-normal set prices at high-demand times, thus eliminating the loathed Surge Pricing system. Riders LOVE the idea, are in total agreement.

  • Uber/Lyft Corporate: STOP ABUSING DRIVERS!
Labor Laws, protecting workers rights, were hard fought for and established long ago by organized labor workers - Many of whom gave their lives to establish the workers rights of today - However, despite the mistreatment of Drivers as LESS THAN EMPLOYEES and that legally UBER/LYFT should not be able to "dictate the manner in which we perform our services" - Despite all this, according to UBER/LYFT, Drivers are considered to be "Independent Contractors" if this is so then UBER/LYFT at minimal, must disclose to Drivers the full terms and conditions of each ride request, prior to ride acceptance by Drivers - A reasonable time period must be provided for Drivers to evaluate the details for each ride request being offered before deciding to accept (Offer & Acceptance -in contract law). If ride request is not acceptable to Driver then Driver has the right, as a true independent contractor, to refuse the ride request offered by tapping a REJECT button - To be included in the Driver App - with NO retaliatory threats of deactivation of Driver by UBER/LYFT. This REJECT feature would MAXIMIZE EFFICIENCY & PUBLIC SAFETY of App. BENEFITS - Saves valuable time for both Drivers and Riders by passing ride request IMMEDIATELY to next potential Driver. NO need to wait for ride request clock to timeout: • DRIVERS: IMMEDIATELY receive their next ride request much faster - Time is money - Practically eliminates cancellations - Better matching to desired Rider creates excellent ride experience - Reduced distracted driving & possible accidents by eliminating time delay to view their GPS • RIDER: - Greatly reduces wait time frustration and cancellations. - Better matching to READY, WILLING & ABLE Driver creates excellent ride experience It's a NO BRAINER how a simple REJECT BUTTON in App contributes to overall App Efficiency and Public Safety - Greatly reducing distracted driving and physically exhausted drivers causing accidents is a WIN-WIN-WIN situation for everyone! Implementing a smoother App platform functionality even benefits the environment by decreasing the overwhelming traffic congestion and resulting carbon footprint caused by inefficient operations of Rideshare vehicles.

  • Publix supermarkets stop forcing employees to hustle for charities at the register
Publix gives already huge quantities of food. The customers feel harassed. This is stressful to cashiers who are living paycheck to paycheck and can't even have a bruised apple, Publix would rather dump in in a locked garbage bin. These are your customers and employees. If people want to give, they have that opportunity but less pressure PLEASE.

  • Lyft: Stop allowing illegal pickup/dropoff requests via the Lyft App!
Lyft, Inc. is placing its drivers in difficult and dangerous situations by allowing our passengers to request pickups or dropoffs at illegal locations. 1. Allowing passengers to make illegal requests subjects us to being stopped and fined by the police. These city fines are steep and cost us 1 or 2 days worth of work. 2. Expecting Lyft drivers to inform passengers that we cannot pick them up or drop them off at their location of choice is a recipe for driver-passenger conflict, lower ratings, less tips and distracted driving. 3. As long as Lyft allows illegal pickup/dropoff requests via the Lyft App, drivers will continue accepting the requests and passengers will expect to be picked up where they requested. This is causing even more congestion and accidents on our busy streets -- be a better corporate citizen!

  • Trip requests outside airport queue while in airport
We will receive random text alerts telling us to head over to airport staging area! Once we drive all the way over there, pay the toll, wait several minutes and just before we are next in line we get a trip request that causes us to leave the airport, lose the money we paid in tolls and the time we waited for our airport run is wasted, and if we do not accept the request, it ruins our acceptance rating and if you do not accept 2 in a row the system throws you off line for 10 minutes causing us to lose all that time and to get in the back of the rotation! If we accept the request and cancel it ruins our rating and keeps us from certain promotions! The fact that I drove to the airport demonstrates that I want an airport trip, if I wanted to pickup trips outside the airport I would leave the airport and turn on the app!

  • Let Your Employees Show Their Tattoos
Why is it important? Sleeves get in the way of everything, doesn't matter if we are stocking or helping a customer get their perfect fit. We are your shoe experts and I don't see any other shoe company that I have been into other than Skechers that makes their employees cover up their tattoos. So why treats us differently when we are your experts when we chose your store, your company to work at. One thing I learned from when I worked at Gamestop is that the company is a family. I have that same feeling with Skechers, but why would you force family to cover up something that is who they are when it's not offensive that makes kids smile and that helps connect with the customers so much more? I know with the tattoo policy being looked at and done away with, as long as the tattoos aren't offensive, will being more customers in, will help employee moral, and will help us be over all better. Let us Show our Tattoos
